31 young people, all under the age of 26, made up the French Professions Team, which won 18 medals, among the 28 professions carried by France at European level.
A good harvest for the construction sector: two gold medalists, three silver medalists and two medalists of excellence
The construction sector is doing remarkably well, with seven medals out of the eighteen won by the French, which places our country third among European nations.
Of the ten young people competing in the construction industry, five climbed the steps of the European podium (one girl and four boys), with two gold medals in metal roofing and mirrors and three silver medals in carpentry, solier and stone cutting. Two young people, in masonry and painting and decoration, also won a medal of excellence, awarded to competitors who narrowly missed the third step of the podium.
This fine harvest of medals for the only construction sector at EuroSkills 2021 once again demonstrates the excellence of the skills and the extent of the know-how of young people, trained in the building and public works trades.
Companies and training organizations for construction trades can be proud of the young people they have trained, prepared and supported until the competition, playing an essential role in their final success.

" I am very happy. It is a great satisfaction. I live this emotion 100%. I hope everyone can share this feeling and get involved in this competitive process. It is magic ! It is the culmination of a journey that lasted four years. When I got on the podium, I thought about both my business expert, who knew how to push me to my limits, the company in which I work and who accompanied me, letting me train in its premises, and to my companion on whom I can rest.
