Batinfo: Can you introduce the Compose group?

Samuel Gauquelin: Created in 2016 in Nantes by Guillaume Robert-Legrand, the Compose group is developing a new mode of shared housing: coliving.

This type of housing fully corresponds to the expectations of the real estate market in metropolitan areas by responding to the major societal challenge: access to housing for individuals.

Our mission is to make quality living spaces accessible, located in dynamic urban areas, offering social connections and services to “solo” populations experiencing geographic mobility or in transition (professional or personal).

We believe that our concept can contribute to their development by offering them much more than housing, but a quality living environment and an enriching experience that promote social interactions and sharing.

Batinfo: What about the company today?

Samuel Gauquelin: The Compose group continues its development throughout the national territory and plans to build around 1.000 new homes per year.

A leading player in managed residential, Compose OpCo manages the residential stock developed by the group, in which our tenants take up residence.

Real estate developer, Compose DevCo, identifies and supports the development of real estate programs, new or renovated, which can be dedicated to new modes of coliving housing. These programs are sold to blue-chip institutional investors.

Batinfo: How will you achieve the ambitious objective of creating 1000 housing units per year?

Samuel Gauquelin: We control the entire value chain of the sector, because we are both promoter and manager, which makes us agile and adaptable since we control our operations from A to Z.

We then rely on solid partnerships, for example with Creazur France, kitchen and bathroom designer. Throughout our projects, Creazur France works in close collaboration with the project management teams and the companies designated by Compose's partner developers. The taking of dimensions and the implementation of the equipment can be carried out either by the Creazur France subcontractor or directly by the companies designated by the Project Owner.

Our collaboration with solid service providers allows us to calmly deploy our residences throughout the national territory by relying on a reliable partner offering quality products and having a stock to support peaks of activity.
