Technologies already widely proven in the floor coverings sector
Flashback to 1993, the year Välinge Innovation, sister company of Bjelin, which pioneered a technical revolution in the flooring industry as it spearheaded the transition from the traditional tongue and groove bonding method to today's clip-on technology. Indeed, Darko Pervan, the founder of the company, wanted to find the easiest and most efficient method of installing parquet flooring. Directly involved in the industry's biggest innovations, he had already initiated and managed the development of the world's first laminate flooring at the end of the 70s.
The company thus permanently changed the way people install and use flooring and has continued to make flooring history with various innovations and patented technologies adopted around the world.
For Darko Pervan, Founder of Bjelin: “Staying ahead requires taking risks and challenging the industry with new ways of thinking. We revolutionized the way people install and use hardwood floors with the first mechanical interlocking system, and after years of hard effort and high development costs, we introduce the next generation of hardwood flooring. »
Among them, the patented 5G® Dry™ assembly technology offers much better water resistance by preventing it from penetrating into the joints of the floor boards. It thus provides increased protection against everyday chaos such as splashes and also makes Bjelin floors extremely easy to install and live in.
The Woodura® surface treatment makes it possible to produce 10 times more floor covering with the same quantity of wood as traditional parquet floors while being 3 times more resistant to impacts. This is made possible thanks to a processing method consisting of slicing the raw material and densifying it using wood powder technology.
A strong commitment to eco-responsibility
The company develops its floor coverings close to its production site, in one of the most advanced parquet research centers in the world, ensuring innovation and quality at all stages of manufacturing. .
At the same time, it recently launched a brand new production site in Croatia which will be the future largest flooring factory in the world. This strategic location is part of Bjelin's eco-responsible approach since it allows it to be as close as possible to the raw materials (high quality FSC certified wood) while participating in the growth of the company since this offers it the possibility of open up to new markets.
The alliance between innovation and aesthetics
