The Order of Land Surveyors welcomes the inclusion of regional specificities in the “Climate and Resilience” bill

This principle, which does not distort the citizens' proposals of the Climate Convention, is fully in line with the proposals already formulated by the Order of Land Surveyors to better frame the notion of artificialization.

As early as March 4, the Order of Land Surveyors (OGE) alerted the Government to the legal insecurity linked to the notion of artificialization and to the effects that certain provisions of the Climate and Resilience bill could have on it. state. The profession had therefore formulated 4 proposals aimed at better reconciling the objectives of preserving biodiversity, which it fully shares, with the challenges of regional development, particularly rural ones. The OGE was heard by Madame Emmanuelle WARGON, Minister of Housing, and wishes to salute the quality of the exchanges and debates.

The amendment adopted by the deputies is the fruit of this close collaboration which the EMB welcomes; he sees in this a strong signal sent by deputies in favor of a better definition of protected areas.

In January 2020, the profession had already submitted to the Government a Manifesto in which it pleaded for the objective of Zero Net Artificialization to be part of an approach that takes into account the specificities of each territory. Referring to the 50% reduction in the consumption of “natural, agricultural and forest areas” while ultimately staying on course for reducing artificialisation for the coming decade is therefore a strong ambition for surveyors. -experts, guarantors of a sustainable living environment.
