During these open days, middle and high school students looking for orientation will be able to discover the 31 trades and training courses offered by the Compagnons du Devoir through workshops, meetings with trainers, apprentices and businesses.
Accessible to young people aged 15 to 25, the various courses offered by the Compagnons du Devoir allow everyone to carry out their project by learning at their own pace, in an environment of confidence. Work-study training also promotes the acquisition of know-how through practical work and allows you to develop your professional experience very early. The Compagnons du Devoir have also created a course called APPIE, intended for baccalaureate holders, where the apprentice spends 90% of his time in a company, against 75% in a “classic” apprenticeship.
Traveling in France and internationally
As part of the DNA of companionship, travel is a central pillar of training for the Compagnons du Devoir. Its virtues are numerous: acquisition of new know-how, diversity of working environments, learning a foreign language, human encounters ... The Tour de France, which enables work-study students to change companies and cities each year, also includes a one-year international stage.
Today, out of the 3500 itinerant riders on the Tour de France, 415 are in an international stage in around sixty countries. Recognized for its commitment to the mobility of young people, the association has also been awarded, for 2019, 720 scholarships by the Erasmus Agency.
