While the health crisis has triggered a construction materials crisis, the war in Ukraine dramatically increases the risks of shortages and inflation of all production costs.
The FFB urgently calls on the public authorities:
- a transitional measure to lower the VAT rate on fuels;
- a freeze on energy and fuel prices;
- full coverage of partial activity resulting from shortages;
- in public contracts, the systematic consideration of requests for compensation, amendment to the contract, non-application of late payment penalties;
- the implementation of the theory of unpredictability in both public and private markets with a view to imposing a renegotiation of prices as long as the conflict lasts.
