Kebony wood has no harmful effects on the environment. Kebony's production is based on a liquid extracted from organic waste, and our factory produces according to the most environmentally friendly standards. During the waste use phase, Kebony can be disposed of like normal, untreated wood.
All goods supplied by Kebony have the Swan Eco label. The swan is the official Nordic eco-label, presented by the Nordic Council of Ministers. The vision of the Swan Eco-label is that of a sustainable society, in which future generations can benefit from the same conditions and opportunities that we enjoy today. An important step towards this vision is, with the help of the eco-label, to help consumers choose the most environmentally friendly products. The Swan logo is a guarantee for the consumer that the product certified with this label is a good environmental choice.
Developed in Norway, Kebony technology is a patented and ecological process which improves the properties of softwoods with a liquid based on plant components. The cellular structure of the wood is thus permanently changed and the wood adopts high-end characteristics:
