ZéPAC, the dual service heat pump for the collective market

intuis won the gold medal in the heating category by offering a dual-service collective heat pump solution producing heating and domestic hot water, making it possible to comply with the requirements of new thermal regulations without disrupting its construction methods.

This solution is the result of long-term development work on ultra-efficient high-temperature heat pumps, without hydrofluorocarbons, for collective housing. As a result, a virtuous fluid with almost zero impact on the environment.

To present its solution, intuis worked on the real case of a 33-unit apartment building in Genas, in the suburbs of Lyon, led by the promoter Arcole Développement. The project was in RT2012, concrete construction, with heating and domestic hot water (ECS) provided by individual gas boilers. intuis simulated the following situations:

• The transition to RE2020: is possible with individual gas boilers, by reinforcing the frame, with a passage in bricks, and by increasing the costs by 1,4% or 32€/m².
• The transition to RE2020/25: is possible with individual gas boilers for heating, however the DHW must be provided by a thermodynamic water heater and the brick frame must be further reinforced; costs increase by another 3,6% or 87€/m²
• Another alternative to switching to the RE2020/25, while retaining the initial structure, is possible by installing a ZéPAC dual-service heat pump from intuis, while providing domestic hot water and heating, at no additional cost compared to the mixed gas + renewable energy solution and using the same emitters.

At a time when developers are facing significant challenges in managing the costs and technical issues of construction, this solution comes at the right time to allow them a simplified transition to new regulations.

In addition, it makes it possible to offer future occupants immediate savings in heating costs, for Pinel+ housing (subject to other conditions), meeting their environmental and gas supply concerns.

Presentation of the innovative renewable energy solution from INTUIS Zépac + HRC70 Double Service

With this new generation heat pump, intuis aims to enable collective housing to switch to renewable energies.

intuis thermodynamics has built up significant experience in collective heat pumps over the past ten years. By the end of 2022, there will already be nearly 45 collective housing units, of which at least DHW (Hot Water) is provided 000% by the brand's Collective heat pumps.

The ZéPAC+ HRC system developed and manufactured in France by intuis (Zé for Zero Carbon Emissions) is a monobloc heat pump with hydraulic connection which allows great installation flexibility:

• Space saving: Installation in a technical room of approximately 15 m2
• Economical: no boiler room, no flue
• Ecological: the lowest CO2 impact on the market
• Practical and discreet: a height limited to 1,30 m
• Plug & heat: replaces a gas condensing boiler without modifying the hydraulic network

The high temperature

With 70°C output in the network, the solution is thus compatible with all hydraulic transmitters, without any additional cost, it ensures anti-legionella cycles for the DHW and allows 100% thermodynamics down to -20 °C outside, without the use of back-ups.

Monobloc: hydraulic connection between heat pump and pilot

All of the refrigerant is located inside the outdoor unit, a simple hydraulic connection connects the external module to the pilot and the intervention of a refrigeration engineer is not necessary.
