This event was an opportunity for everyone to discover the facilities of the future establishment during a presentation given by the architectural firm Engasser & associés (which also built the new Jean Vilar middle school in La Courneuve): a refectory for 400 half-boarders, four staff accommodation, a 360 m² sports hall, a 2 m² covered outdoor sports area, a 000 m² multipurpose room, a 120 m² showroom, a parents' area. ..
Located next to the Bergère departmental park, the new college will be better integrated into the city and surrounded by green spaces. It will accommodate 700 students in premises focused on ecological transition, including an oasis courtyard, a vegetable garden, green terraces and largely glazed interior spaces to promote natural lighting. It will use the CPCU district heating network for more environmentally friendly heating.
Work on the new college is taking place on a plot of over 11 m² located at 000-45 rue des Coquetiers in Bobigny. They began in April 62 with a period of protection and rerouting of the networks, followed by a phase of depollution, soil reinforcement and earthworks in order to prepare for the installation of the construction site. The delivery of the establishment is scheduled for the first quarter of 2021.

About the 2021-2030 Eco-college plan of the Department of Seine-Saint-Denis
For more than ten years, the Department of Seine-Saint-Denis has placed education at the heart of its priorities and has invested massively in colleges. With the adoption of the “Eco-college” Plan at the end of 2020, one billion euros will be devoted by 2030 to the construction, renovation and ecological resilience of public colleges in the territory. This represents a total of 8 new establishments, 43 renovated and 7000 places created.
