Edeis and a Vinci subsidiary selected for the reconversion of the Clairvaux power plant

The State "in conjunction with the local authorities (...) will begin an exclusive negotiation phase" with Edeis-Adim, indicate in a joint press release the prefecture and these communities.

Edeis is the manager of the Nîmes arenas, the ancient theater of Orange and the Troyes airport.

The objective is to "specify the terms and conditions of occupation (cultural, heritage, economic and legal) of the selected offer", with a view to concluding, "if the conditions are met", an occupation agreement "at summer 2024.

Until then, the prefecture does not wish to communicate the details of the selected project.

“18 months of intense work to write a new chapter in the history of Clairvaux have been rewarded. We are honored by the trust placed in us by the State and the territory,” responded the Edeis group.

The site, which housed a 1971th century Cistercian abbey, a Napoleonic central house and a modern central house, built in XNUMX, saw its last inmates leave in May.

The reconversion projects for this partially classified place, spread over 32 hectares, were to "integrate the double dimension of the site, its Cistercian dimension and the prison heritage", indicated the sub-prefect Barthélémy Champanhet in July.
