2023 Sustainability Report: Ideal Standard Achieves Major Milestones

The full report, titled Together for a better future, takes stock of progress against a series of commitments set out in the first edition which covered the company's activities in 2022.

Among the main achievements of 2023 are:

• reducing company-wide CO2 emissions by 5 tonnes, or 514%,
• the elimination of 41,5 tonnes of single-use plastic from product packaging,
• and the publication of 5.000 environmental product declarations (FDES) to ensure greater transparency for customers.

The plant in Wittlich, Germany, has achieved a significant milestone by reaching zero Type 2 emissions in 2023, with 100% electricity generated from renewable energy sources, including an on-site solar farm consisting of more than 3.000 photovoltaic panels.

These achievements were also supported by the launch of EcoLogic, an internal company label that requires the use of sustainable supply chains and materials to create products that improve hygiene and consumption efficiency. water and energy.

This has led to the development of products such as the Alu+ shower range, which are free from harmful materials such as nickel, made from 84% recycled aluminum and are water-efficient, whilst providing a superior showering experience.

During the year, the company also improved female recruitment in Europe by 7,5%, launched and completed a comprehensive supply chain due diligence program covering 80% of the group's current direct spend and achieved ISO 45001 health and safety certification for operations in the UK and Czech Republic, meaning all factories in all five countries have achieved accreditation.

Ideal Standard ended 2023 being awarded a silver medal by EcoVadis – the world's largest provider of sustainability assessments – placing the company in the top 25% of more than 85.000 companies valued around the world.
