The future-proof solution is intended to increase operational efficiency while securing sensitive sites, companies and industrial buildings. The system is managed with ABLOY® OS.
Companies have a growing need to secure their access with a digital solution, without a physical key, and highly secure. Whether it is to complete their existing installation or to have a stand-alone solution, this need is particularly felt in remote areas or in cases where the use of a physical key involves a risk of corruption or a danger for the user. .
“BEAT is part of the ongoing 'keyvolution', heralding a new era of effortless connectivity without a physical key. Still, there are no keyless locks, but the key morphs. Building on our heritage and our expertise in high security, we have developed a new digital key. It is encrypted with the most advanced Seos® identification technology developed by HID Global and guarantees the highest security and data protection ”, says Jorma Issakainen, Vice President, ABLOY Critical Infrastructure.
Combination of a digital key and a very resistant Bluetooth padlock
The BEAT solution is specially designed for the physical protection of sensitive sites, companies and industrial buildings. While securing infrastructure and assets, it also offers customers improved operational efficiency, reducing both logistics and costs. It also reduces journeys and therefore fuel consumption, making it a sustainable option. The solution is intended for use in sectors such as telecommunications and data centers, transport and logistics, utilities (water, electricity, gas) and mining.
The BEAT digital key connects to the ABLOY® Super Weather Proof Bluetooth padlock, designed to operate in harsh environments and at remote locations. The padlock has an IP68 protection rating, a case-hardened steel body and LEDs indicating its status. It completes the ABLOY® padlock range.
Ready to meet new security needs
The BEAT solution can be integrated with your existing solutions or be installed as a stand-alone locking solution with ABLOY OS. ABLOY OS makes it possible to manage keys, locking elements and access rights anywhere, from a single ergonomic interface that is easy to use.
The BEAT solution is the latest addition to the Abloy range of digital security and access control solutions, developed to be future-proof. Today's announcement corresponds to the first phase of the deployment of the BEAT solution. The company plans to unveil new features in the future.
With today's launch, the ABLOY digital range now includes three options: digital (BEAT), electromechanical (PROTEC² CLIQ) and mechanical (ABLOY® PROTEC²). All these options, including the PROTEC² mechanical option, could be, in the near future, managed by the same ABLOY OS interface. ABLOY competence centers, sales teams and distributors across 6 continents provide customers with professional technical expertise, service and support.
