Wicona launches the Wicstyle 65 N NG, a new door reference without thermal break

Available from January 2023, this new reference responds to strong demand from customers, who now have a relevant and competitive solution allowing them to be well placed in calls for tenders. In addition to its technical performance, supplemented by flame-retardant and burglar-retardant solutions, it boasts the same advantages that guide the development of the system designer, in particular large dimensions (up to 3 meters high in its reinforced version), the range aesthetics – for total harmony between the products – and environmental performance.

Modular design

The Wicstyle 65 N NG door without thermal break has a modular design. Faithful to the less is more logic that has driven Wicona's product development for several years, this new generation of door is designed symmetrically with a 65 mm single-chamber profile: the same frame profiles can be used for interior openings and exterior, joints, glazing beads, connecting profiles and other components are standardized. As such, the parts can be used on all series of Wicona facades, windows and doors ensuring architectural freedom and design consistency. In addition to visual unity, this concept allows manufacturers to optimize stocks and manufacturing times through the pooling of processing steps, accessories and tools and thus increase profitability.

Various applications

Thanks to this modular design, the Wicstyle 65 N NG offers multiple solutions for a large number of applications inside the building (single or double action door, reinforced doors, emergency and panic exits). It provides an appropriate response to construction projects without thermal requirements such as buildings with high traffic: hospitals, museums, airports, supermarkets, commercial or administrative buildings, but is also suitable for those subject to high stress, such as schools or complexes. sportsmen.

The options include in particular the nature of the fillings (solid or glazed). Finger pinch protection is available for schools and nurseries. PMR (Persons with Reduced Mobility) or motorization solutions are also offered.

Additional safety and security options

To protect people and property inside the building, Wicona has emphasized safety and security in the design of the system. This makes it easy to equip the standard Wicstyle 65 N NG door with flame protection. The reinforced door can also be adapted in a burglar-resistant version up to level RC3. Acoustic insulation is possible up to 44 dB to ensure comfort in noisy environments.

Neat style and aesthetics

The range of Wicstyle 65 N NG doors offers a wide range of profiles, whose external seen masses vary from 48 to 225 mm. Available in a height of up to 2,7 meters, in the standard version, the Wicstyle 65 N NG door is available in a heavy traffic version, and offers a height of up to 3 meters.

Thanks to its modular construction, the range offers architectural freedom and a uniform appearance for all types of application. Available in anodized or powder-coated finishes, it can be fitted with surface-mounted, clamp-on or concealed hinges; full-height running faceplate, dedicated flush covers and perfectly integrated closing accessories for a flush design.

The new Wictouch handle, in Hydro CIRCAL 75R aluminium, completes the door trim and gives it a refined style. Wictouch handles and rosettes are available in a natural anodized finish, and in all the lacquered finishes from the Wicona color offer to match or not the colors of the carpentry. They can, as an option, be coated with a treatment with antibacterial and antiviral properties, thus offering active protection where it is most needed (schools, hospitals, industrial installations, amusement parks, and all other public places where the safety of persons is a priority).

As for closures, many variants and extensions are available. For example, 1, 2 or multipoint locks with different options: hook bolts or hook bolts with double round bolt for optimized security, or latch bolts with detent.

More durable door system

In line with the brand's commitment to a circular economy, the Wicstyle 65 N NG is extruded in Hydro CIRCAL 75R - a premium grade aluminum made from at least 75% end-of-life recycled aluminum (post waste). -consumption). This material has one of the lowest carbon footprints in the world: 2,3 kg of CO2 per kilo of aluminum produced.

The door is also made of 95% recyclable materials. It is an effective way to significantly reduce the impact of materials on a building's life cycle.
