SPIE innovates and deploys artificial intelligence to meet the needs of Thésée DataCenter

SPIE ICS specializes in services related to ICT infrastructures¹, from the user environment to the data center. The subsidiary has been selected to ensure the technical implementation of this colocation data center² particularly innovative. SPIE ICS is thus entrusted with consultancy and engineering services before integration as well as the installation of various technical and safety equipment. This ambitious contract crowns a privileged relationship initiated in 2016.

“We are proud to see this project come to fruition and to be one of the main operators. We very early trusted the founders of Thésée DataCenter whose audacity and understanding of technical issues were decisive ”, said Fabrice Raison, Department Director at SPIE ICS. "We are all the more pleased because we share a common DNA: the desire to combine technological innovations and energy efficiency". From September 2020, more than 40 SPIE ICS employees will be mobilized on this site previously modeled in BIM³. The delivery of the project is scheduled for February 28, 2021.

The SPIE ICS teams will deploy all of their technical skills in the area of ​​data center as part of this mission. They will pay particular attention to implementing cutting-edge technologies to guarantee the project's energy performance objectives. This will notably involve reaching an electrical consumption 25% lower than that of the most recent colocation data centers with a carbon footprint also reduced by 25%. "Beyond the free-cooling solution⁴, we used artificial intelligence techniques. The management and regulation of the indoor temperature will be ensured by sensors whose data will be analyzed in real time by algorithms. 90% of the time, the computer rooms will be cooled without any energy consumption ”, says Fabrice Raison.

Another major expertise provided by SPIE ICS: site security with a security infrastructure with 7 access levels between entry to the site and access to private computer bays and obligatory passage points with the latest technology in terms biometrics and video surveillance. These will be combined with the technical building management system as well as a service portal open to Thésée DataCenter customers.
