Following the mobilization of 50 departmental CAPEBs, employees of small construction companies can have lunch in a sheltered location in certain restaurants, legally and in strict compliance with barrier gestures.
While many departments are on orange alert due to bad weather, it is more than ever necessary that craftsmen and their teams (journeymen, employees and apprentices) can take advantage of a warm and dry lunch break.
250 restaurateurs throughout France have thus obtained the authorization to accommodate the assets of the Building. The CAPEB welcomes this exceptional measure which also allows restaurateurs to maintain a certain activity and which concerns, in the building crafts sector, more than one million workers spread over the entire territory.
Jean-Christophe Repon, President of CAPEB, declares: “With the winter conditions, it became urgent to offer a solution to construction craftsmen to allow them to eat warm and dry, while obviously respecting barrier gestures. Their health is at stake! This exceptional opening limited to building professionals is excellent news for our members but also for restaurant owners. I can only congratulate myself on the action of the U2P and the CAPEB as a whole which made it possible to lead to these openings. And in particular the strong mobilization of our departmental CAPEBs, as for example yesterday in the Bas-Rhin. I obviously invite restaurateurs to open their doors more and more to our craft businesses! "
