Finalcad: more than 10 years of innovation at the service of the digitization of the construction industry
Launched at the end of 2011 by Jimmy Louchart, Joffroy Louchart and David Vauthrin, Finalcad was born with the ambition of helping companies in the construction sector to optimize their operational efficiency thanks to digital tools. To meet this challenge, the company has designed a SaaS site management platform that digitizes data and processes related to construction projects. The solution facilitates collaboration and coordination between the various on-site and off-site stakeholders, and thus optimizes the quality of the projects delivered. Many players trust Finalcad, including the Eiffage group, which has just extended for several years its partnership initiated in 2017 with the publisher to support it in the digital transformation of its projects.
Fundraising to strengthen investments and accelerate the transformation of the company
This fundraising was led by Finalcad's management team, which was recently strengthened by the arrival of Pascal Laik as Chief Executive Officer to support the company's ambitious development program.
Pascal Laik was appointed CEO of Finalcad at the end of 2021. He brings to the publisher his experience of more than 30 years acquired in the numerous positions of responsibility he has held with leading publishers in their specialty such as Oracle, Siebel Systems, Informatica and C3.AI, whose growth and international development he accompanied. His deep experience in the world of SaaS, as well as in the management, marketing and implementation of digital transformation platforms acquired in the world of IoT, Big Data and IA are all assets in the service of the objectives of operational excellence and sales growth that Finalcad aims for.
With this new financing, Finalcad will strengthen the investments and the transformation started a few years ago, in a spirit of continuity with the historical investors. This fundraising will in particular make it possible to support R&D investments on subjects such as safety and the environment on construction sites as well as the exploitation of data including the use of Artificial Intelligence at the service of field and management teams. . Finally, after having developed its activity in Southeast Asia in recent years, Finalcad will continue its international deployment, in Europe but also in North Africa.
“We are delighted with this fundraising, the objective of which is to make accessible to all construction professionals a unique and customizable collaborative platform allowing them to digitize in complete autonomy each stage of the life of the works, from the start of the work to to their exploitation.
Thanks to it, we will strengthen our positioning as a Field Experience Platform - a field-oriented productivity solution - in order to provide a better response to the daily needs of operational teams, and, for their management, by facilitating the piloting and management of performance via the analysis of data reported from worksites. This funding will allow us to go even further in this direction, by fully exploiting the potential of BIM data and the capabilities offered by Artificial Intelligence. », says Pascal Laik, CEO of Finalcad.
Jean-François Cochy, Partner at Cathay Innovation, says about this fundraising:
“Thanks to its modern technological suite and its scalable and user-friendly digital tools, Finalcad is today an undisputed leader in the digitalization of the construction sector. Finalcad provides solutions that help construction professionals optimize their operations and experience in the field.
Since our initial investment in 2018, we have supported the strengthening of the team - which over the past year has resulted in the acquisition of a large user base of Finalcad One, while retaining the historical customers with renewed contracts. We look forward to supporting the team in this next phase of development and expansion through the strengths of our global platform. »
Jonathan Sibilia, Partner at Molten Ventures insists on the prospects for construction professionals:
“Finalcad provides a solution whose value is widely proven and recognized today. Significant time savings have been reported following feedback from many work supervisors who have been using the solution for several months: more than 28 hours/month for each user! These time savings are already considerable, but gigantic deposits of value remain to be exploited by pushing the analysis of site data further. We are convinced that this analysis will tomorrow be the main driver of the digital transformation of construction companies. »
