Available in Autodesk products and native in its Design and Make platform, Autodesk AI provides intelligent assistance and generative capabilities that enable customers to imagine and explore freely while producing precise, accurate and innovative results.
For Andrew Anagnost, CEO of Autodesk: “As a trusted technology partner for the design and manufacturing industries, Autodesk sees AI as a way for our customers to address the challenges they face and turn them into opportunities. Autodesk AI is the assistant that reduces the learning curve for designers and engineers, increases their productivity, and accelerates innovation. »
Few technologies have as much potential as AI. With experts who have been researching at the forefront of AI for many years, Autodesk is uniquely positioned to continue to advance the development of AI for design and manufacturing. To date, Autodesk AI Lab has published more than 60 peer-reviewed research articles that advance the state of the art in AI and generative AI.
For Mr. Anagnost: “AI is the future of design and manufacturing, and Autodesk is pioneering this transition. We are at the nexus of many of the world's most creative and influential industries. We will continue to invest in AI because of its transformative potential to drive better outcomes for our customers' businesses and the world. »
Whether it's constructing new buildings and highways, manufacturing smart products and devices, or creating engaging media and entertainment, Autodesk AI helps customers meet the present moment - no only by increasing productivity, but giving them the tools to be more ambitious and more creative.
In the upcoming 2024 State of Design and Make special report on AI, 77% of companies surveyed say they plan to increase or sharply increase their investments in AI over the next three years. Among the executives surveyed, 66% agreed that within two to three years, AI will be essential.
For Raji Arasu, Chief Technology Officer, Autodesk: “With a commitment to AI safety and ethical practices, we are focused on providing responsible AI solutions that meet the needs of our customers. Autodesk AI will continue to surface on the Autodesk platform – both in our existing products and in our industrial clouds – to enable better ways to design and manufacture. »
Today, Autodesk AI is available across the Autodesk portfolio, with new capabilities continually developing. Autodesk AI improves creative exploration and problem solving, automates repetitive tasks to minimize errors and save time, and analyzes complex project data to provide predictive insights.
For architecture, engineering and construction:
- Autodesk Forma provides rapid analysis of wind, noise, and operational energy so you can make intelligent planning and design decisions up front that improve outcomes.
- In InfoDrainage, the flood machine learning tool communicates information on the best location of retention basins and swales to help prevent or reduce the impact of water disasters.
- AutoCAD leverages AI to help drafters work faster by reading handwritten and digital annotations. It determines user intent to recommend contextual actions to easily integrate changes.
- Construction IQ leverages AI to predict, prevent and manage construction risks that could impact quality, safety, cost or schedule.
For product design and manufacturing:
- Blank.AI's recently acquired generative AI capabilities will enable design exploration for the automotive industry, leading to accelerated results and 3D models that can be quickly created, explored and edited in real time at using semantic and natural language controls without advanced technical skills.
- In Autodesk Fusion, customers can automatically generate product designs that are optimized for manufacturing methods, performance, costs, and more.
- Fusion workflows are also being developed to enable the automated creation of modeled computer-aided manufacturing toolpaths that can be adjusted by the user as needed. Automated drawings will provide interactive experiences around sheet creation, view placement, and annotation workflows.
