The startup wants to continue to invest massively to offer the best customer experience on the market, become the rental standard in France and expand its network of rental companies in Europe.
Launched in 2017 by two expert engineers in the sector, TRACKTOR digitizes the rental activity of SMEs in construction and industry. The platform allows professionals to free themselves from all the constraints of traditional rental: they instantly access the prices already negotiated by more than 400 rental companies throughout France. All their rentals are centralized in a single tool that gives them more visibility to optimize their expenses.
Tracktor has already won over more than 3.500 companies in the construction and industry sectors, allowing them to rent equipment in 3 clicks, whatever their needs, saving them up to 3 hours on the management of each rental. The company, which is experiencing strong growth, wishes in 2022 to triple the volume of business achieved in 2021.
This new fundraising will enable Tracktor to recruit new talent to double its workforce by the end of the year. The company aims to offer the best customer experience on the market by investing massively in its technology and the development of its product: a mobile application will integrate the needs of its customers in the field, and a management tool will centralize 100% of the rental activity and to dematerialize the internal flows of SMEs. The second challenge will be to develop its notoriety to become the industry standard in France and prepare for its expansion in Europe from 2023.
New investors appreciated this unique value proposition in a construction equipment rental market that is experiencing very strong growth and is still very little digitized, which is worth more than 5 billion euros in France and 30 billion euros in Europe (and more than 70 billion euros in Europe within 10 years).
For Idir Ait Si Amer, co-founder of Tracktor: “We chose AXA Venture Partners and Bpifrance because we share a common vision and ambition: we want to become the 1-stop shop for construction equipment rental by offering the best customer experience in the sector thanks to Tech. »
For François Robinet, Managing Partner of AXA Venture Partners: “The Covid crisis has been a catalyst for the adoption of digital solutions, particularly for individuals but also for businesses. We believe that the coming years will see the advent of a large number of BtoB marketplaces. With this in mind and by establishing a true marketplace dedicated to equipment rental, Tracktor can profoundly transform the market for the construction industry. We were convinced by this vision carried by Idir and Julien and believe that they will be able to implement it in France and abroad. »
For Victoire Millerand, Investment Director, and Claire Castel, Senior Investment Officer within the Digital Venture division of Bpifrance: “We are convinced of the relevance of Tracktor's value proposition and their ability to strongly transform this vast and little digitalized market to date. We are delighted to support this quality team in the next stage of its development. »
