A transition in favor of real energy savings
The 5th period of the CEE was articulated around important objectives for the industrial actors. The major challenge is to promote operations with real energy savings even if these operations can be more complex. In industry, this is reflected in particular by the desire to further develop so-called specific operations.
This is also reflected in an increase in the power of EEC controls on standardized operations. For example, from 2022, heat recovery from chillers and cooling towers will be subject to on-site inspections.
Maintaining and strengthening standardized operations
The change of period does not imply a questioning of the entire system. The majority of standardized operations remain in effect. This is the case, for example, of the sheets on motors, on insulation or even on the monitoring of significant energy uses. So many opportunities that manufacturers can seize when they want to renew their equipment or reduce heat loss on their sites.
To complete the catalog, new opportunity sheets are also being considered. Fatal heat recovery, high energy performance cold unit, high temperature heat pump… New aid could arrive during the period and prove interesting for industrial players.
Strong complementarity with other devices
As shown by the various aids launched within the framework of the France Relance Plan, the Energy Savings Certificates system is not the only system for manufacturers who wish to reduce their energy bills or reduce their gas emissions to greenhouse effect.
With France 2030, this logic seems to continue. Manufacturers can seize opportunities to decarbonize their sites and use the CEE as a complement to be able to effectively launch their projects. We are convinced at CertiNergy & Solutions that this complementarity between the different mechanisms is a real asset for manufacturers and that the coming years will be conducive to the launch of ambitious and efficient projects.
