A major associative player in the circular economy and integration, the Envie network is opening “Envie Le Labo”, a solidarity and associative eco-place, at 10 rue Julien Lacroix in Paris 20th district (Ménilmontant). Its vocation: to provide concrete solutions to citizens to support them towards sustainable lifestyles and production, within an exemplary construction. Envie Le Labo is now Envie's first showcase in Paris, making it possible in particular to equip oneself with renovated and guaranteed household appliances.
Working for a more sustainable and united society through the inclusion and extension of the lifespan of products, Envie now wishes to take a new step through Envie Le Labo, an unprecedented eco-place, to affirm this commitment in favor of citizens, at the local, regional and national level.
Through its 560m², Envie Le Labo also wants to prove that it is possible to build and fit out buildings that respect the environment, and this with a tight budget. By limiting its functional and aesthetic needs to the essentials (raw finishes with little paint, for example) and by focusing as much as possible on recovered materials, Envie Le Labo has been able to avoid having to resort to 20 tonnes of new elements.

Envy Le Labo aims to be a place at the service of the general interest. From the first year, the activity of selling guaranteed renovated products and repair services will allow:
- the creation of 14 jobs in Ile-de-France, including 8 in integration in Paris and within Envie Trappes,
- the collection of 500 tonnes of additional waste from electrical and electronic equipment and the distribution of 2 devices,
- to facilitate economic access to electrical and electronic devices for low-income populations.
This “circular economy house”, by virtue of its form and its activities, will be a showcase for the local and national know-how of the Envie network.
