Strong profitable growth in 2022
2022 was a good year for the Frans Bonhomme Group, whose turnover grew by 8% in France and 20% in Spain; with an increase in market share in both countries. At the same time, thanks to an optimization of its working capital requirement, the merger of the Frans Bonhomme – DMTP companies, and the strong support of its shareholder Hayfin, the group has significantly reduced its debt and thus normalized its financial structure.
For Pierre Fleck, Chairman of the Group “2022 has allowed us to consolidate our leading position. Our strategic plan based on 2 pillars, digitalization and expertise, is bearing fruit more quickly than anticipated despite the crisis our economy is going through. Digital already represents 2022% of our sales in December 23 and thanks to the new site recently launched and to technological and human investments - more than 10 million euros over 3 years, it should represent 50% at the end of 2024. At the Expertise level, the consolidation of our specifiers division as well as the strengthening of strategic partnerships with several suppliers have enabled us to bring more added value to our customers”.
The implementation of a commercial and operational model for more advice and efficiency
To continue its modernization in the service of profitable growth, the Group will prioritize various projects in 2023: acceleration of digitalization, development of its network in Spain, product innovations, acceleration of the overhaul of internal processes, affirmation of its CSR and evolution of its organization from the beginning of the year.
Previously, each region was organized into territorial divisions. It is now structured into 3 complementary entities with commercial and operational purposes:
- 1 Public Works Sales Department (combining 4 of the 8 segments of Frans Bonhomme's offer: wastewater and rainwater management, drinking water supply, dry networks and urban/road development).
- 1 Building Sales Department (combining the 4 other segments: structural work, non-collective sanitation, landscaping and evacuation/supply).
- 1 Operations and Customer Relations Department in charge of logistics, supplies and also customer satisfaction.
This new organization aims to strengthen the relationship with suppliers and customers who will interface with a commercial community expert in their business and a community in charge of operations and customer relations. The Frans Bonhomme teams will thus be able to provide more attention and advice to each of them. All of the employees in charge of these new responsibilities have been appointed and have already taken up their duties.
This new organization is accompanied by a redistricting around 4 regions (and no longer 5) with 2 major objectives: to have more balanced regions in terms of turnover, more powerful, thus making it possible to accelerate the gain in Steps
- The Ile de France-Nord region headed by Tarek Nassih.
- The West region headed by Jean-Marc Le Pallec.
- The South region headed by Xavier Poujol.
- The East region headed by Bruno Gobé.
For Pierre Fleck “We are gradually creating a “new” Frans Bonhomme, faithful to its history and its values but more modern, more agile, more efficient. The Group continues to transform itself and the evolution of our organization announced today allows it to take a new step. Frans Bonhomme is now in full working order to accelerate its growth and deploy its very ambitious 3-year plan which will allow it to celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2025”.
