House builder Hexaom returns to green in 2023, but activity slows

In 2022, Hexaom experienced a net loss of 37,9 million euros, caused by the difficulties of a subsidiary which has since been placed in liquidation.

For its 2023 financial year, the Norman group is refusing to pay a dividend to its shareholders in order, it justifies, "to preserve its fundamentals, its cash flow situation but also to ensure a fair distribution of the efforts required of everyone in a context unprecedented crisis".

For 2024, it confirms its outlook for a 25 to 30% drop in its house production, due to a drop in its order intake.

New real estate is suffering, under the combined effect of an increase in construction costs and increased difficulties in accessing credit for buyers.

Faced with this crisis, Hexaom claims to have taken measures including “a reduction in staff, an optimization of the territorial network and a drastic reduction in overheads”.

The group intends to diversify beyond its core business, house construction, which currently accounts for 85% of its turnover.

The weight of its renovation, real estate development and land development activities could reach "around 30%" of turnover "within three years with the aim of reaching 50% in the long term", according to the group.
