The complete constructive solution for treating thermal bridges
RT 2005 introduced the need to ensure complete insulation of the building envelope. RT 2012 and BBC constructions focus on the means to be implemented to treat thermal bridges, which cause heat loss.
Fabemi floors and blocks are the ideal response to meet the requirements of RT 2012, or even construct buildings that comply with the requirements of the E + C- (Energy + Carbon -) label, with a view to future building energy and environmental regulations.
The Fabemi company has also developed complete constructive solutions for treating thermal bridges (floors with polystyrene interjoists + plates + insulating blocks). For this purpose, it offers the insulating plates RIVTHERM® 25 (R = 0,25 m2.K / W) and RIVTHERM® 85 (R = 0,85 m2.K / W) as well as ISOPLANEL S (R = 0,92 , 2 mXNUMX.K / W) - insulating plate designed for use in all seismic zones - for the treatment of thermal bridges at the wall-floor intersection.
A complete wall and floor system
Without thermal bridge breakers
One of the leaders in the concrete products market, Fabemi offers global construction solutions to treat thermal bridges in intermediate floors of buildings (solid slab floors, concrete or prefabricated floors) and thus improve the performance of walls: insulating blocks / insulating floors / floors with joists and interjoists.
An economical and easy-to-use solution, insulating plates represent an ideal alternative to thermal bridge breakers, without breaking the compression slab.
The system includes all the elements to build the floor and the walls, in compliance with the recommendations of the thermal study and the rules of the art.
- An insulating floor with hybrid RAID® beams, insulating interjoists and insulating plates.
- Fabtherm® insulating blocks and accessories (corner blocks, chain blocks, etc.) to assemble thermal resistance walls up to R = 1,77 m2.K / W.
Constructive solutions for single-family homes and collective dwellings, Fabtherm® insulating blocks, associated with Fabemi insulating boards, allow thermal bridging values to be obtained in accordance with RT 2012, including with solid slab floors.
This solution consists in integrating an insulating plate at the end of the slab at the level of the passage of heat flows in addition to the elevation in insulating concrete blocks. This reduces linear losses by more than 20% depending on the thermal resistance of the planelle.
In ordinary aggregates, 5 cm thick, lined with a polyurethane plate, the ISOPLANEL S insulating plate (5 cm thick - R = 0,92 m².K / W), is efficient, simple and economical to treat bridges thermals formed at the intersections of floors and insulating masonry.
Designed for seismic zones, it is available in several heights (16, 17, 20 and 24 cm), depending on the thickness of the floor.
In pumice concrete and fitted with graphite polystyrene insulation, the RIVTHERM® 85 insulating slab (6,4 cm thick - R = 0,85 m².K / W), placed on the edge of the floor, can be used to treat bridges thermal until the breakers are removed.
Also in pumice concrete and fitted with 5 cells, the RIVTHERM® 25 insulating slab (thickness 5 cm - R = 0,25 m².K / W), placed on the edge of the floor, makes it possible to treat thermal bridges.
Suitable for all types of floors, the installation of Fabemi insulating plates is simpler and more economical than with thermal bridge breakers.
Fabemi floors: raid® hybrid manual beams
With or without a prop, the RAID® Hybrids Fabemi are prestressed concrete heel beams with exclusive triangular truss stiffeners. Long span, these beams make it possible to carry out all floor solutions (standard, thermal, acoustic), new as in renovation.
Lighter than traditional prestressed joists, the Fabemi hybrid RAID® are maneuverable. They make it possible to reach large spans (6,20 m long without props and 9 m with props), which offer great freedom in building design by significantly reducing
the need for cross walls. Another advantage, the triangular stiffeners ensure easy handling for easy transport. Very appreciated working comfort, which reinforces the efficiency of the teams on the sites.
Fabemi hybrid RAID® joists achieve savings of up to 12% in concrete in the case of assemblies made with concrete or polystyrene interjoists with straight edges.
Insulating assemblies
Fabemi hybrid RAID® beams can be combined with the following polystyrene interjoists:
- OPTIRAID®: interjoist formwork in polystyrene to achieve light intermediate floors, new as in renovation.
- RAIDtherm®: interjoist polystyrene with tongue limiting the energy losses of low floors, and interjoist polystyrene decor with tongue allowing to keep a flat underside.
- RAIDtherm® under floating screed: polystyrene interjoists with tabs combined with the implementation of a floating screed serving to optimize the thicknesses of the insulation and to significantly reduce linear losses.
Fabemi insulating blocks: Fabtherm® excellence
Fabemi's know-how is also illustrated in the manufacture of innovative and efficient insulating concrete blocks from the Fabtherm® range, which are distributed as follows:
- The Fabtherm® Eco hollow block to be glued, with a thermal resistance of R = 0,51 m2 K / W, which saves on the thickness of the insulation. Two times more insulating than a traditional block, the Fabtherm® Eco provides a quality economic solution to the construction of individual or collective buildings up to R + 2.
- Fabtherm® Air hollow masonry blocks, two to seven times more insulating than traditional blocks. These blocks of 20 cm section, based on light or ordinary aggregates, have a 100% mineral AIRiumTM foam core, developed by LafargeHolcim, reinforcing their insulating capacities. They thus display unprecedented thermal performance at constant thickness (from R = 0,58 m2.K / W to 1,77 m2.K / W), providing a solution to all needs (collective housing, individual houses and tertiary buildings) .
The insulating mineral foam injected into the Fabtherm® Air blocks allows the masonry to take part in the insulation of the building, which saves time in construction and saves living space.
The range of Fabtherm® Air insulating blocks includes:
- The Fabtherm® Air 0.6 masonry block in common aggregates, i.e. R = 0,58 m2.K / W,
- The Fabtherm® Air 1.1 gluing block in common aggregates, ideal for collective housing (R + 4), i.e. R = 1,12 m2.K / W,
- The Fabtherm® Air 1.8 high performance adhesive block in light aggregates (R + 3), i.e. R = 1,77 m2.K / W.
