Ubbink, BL Energies partner for EDF Réno'Basse Consumption (RBC) renovation projects

BL Energies, EDF's partner installer in home energy renovation operations, has chosen Ubbink products to equip the humidity sensitive Single-Flux CMVs. Thus, 6 installations have been carried out since April 2020 in single-family homes and 14 more are planned under this partnership.

In the context of EDF RBC renovation projects, ventilation is a central axis. The installation of a Simple-Flux CMV is therefore part of the work carried out by BL ENERGIES, a partner of EDF in the Meuse and Haute-Marne and installer of Ubbink products for this type of work.

Thus, for the air distribution network, the AIR EXCELLENT network was selected. This allows efficient ventilation while improving air quality.

For Pascal Burtaux, director of BL ENERGIES and installer of these solutions: “Semi-rigid flexible ducts offer more durable installations than flexible ducts. This is what guided our choice towards Ubbink. In addition, we have benefited from very good commercial support with a team particularly attentive to our needs ”.

Quiet and designed to optimize maintenance and cleaning of the network, semi-rigid conduits allow to bypass the risk of crushing, limit heat losses and pressure drops. Easy to install, thanks to elements clipping to each other with joints, the installation of products from the AIR EXCELLENT range is intuitive and without tools.

What is an EDF RBC renovation?

An RBC (Réno'Basse-Consommation) renovation is a support package put in place by EDF for the inhabitants of Meuse and Haute-Marne. “This mainly involves improving the quality of home energy renovation projects by training partner craftsmen throughout the year in best practices” indicates Laurent Guay, program manager for EDF. Departments particularly affected by energy poverty, these training courses allow local businesses to be more efficient in responding to the increased demand for renovation, which can represent up to 80% of energy savings in the context of a global renovation.

From the recommendation of the work to be carried out to delivery, including the choice of the craftsman, the launching and monitoring of the work, complete support is offered to Meusiens and Haut-Marne.

The achievements can also serve as references for Qualit'ENR and RGE certifications.
