Milliken introduces its TractionBack 2.0 solution, the future of modular carpeting. This innovation allows an immediate, fast and healthy installation. An adhesive formula developed by Milliken is applied to the back of the liner during the manufacturing process.
TractionBack 2.0 is a unique ready-to-use solution that adheres perfectly to the substrate without additional handling or the addition of tacky glue. The carpet tiles or strips are ready to be used as soon as they come out of the box, and installation is quick: the system represents a real time saver while leaving the site accessible to the various trades during the installation period.
In addition, the tile is removable and repositionable: it can therefore be easily lifted or moved without losing grip, allowing quick access to the technical floor at any time or the replacement of a tile by any user. TractionBack 2.0 also promotes recycling and future reuse of the tile. The tile does not soil the support and leaves no glue residue: it can therefore be deposited, stored and stacked without the risk of glue transfer to the fibres, then recycled or reused for a second life. It is a sustainable solution that is part of a circular economy through the Milliken carpet take-back program.
Finally, it preserves indoor air quality and contributes to a healthier environment. The patented TractionBack 2.0 formula is free of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which avoids the potentially harmful gassing and odors associated with traditional adhesive systems. TractionBack 2.0 is not only a unique and quick installation method, but also a sustainable solution: it preserves the health and well-being of people, while meeting the challenges of the circular economy and more specifically of reuse.
