The charter of commitments in favor of parity and gender equality in real estate signed by more than a hundred companies in the sector

Among the signatories are the major players in the sector, such as Ardian France, CBRE, BNP Paribas Real Estate, JLL, Cushman Wakefield, Icade, Nexity, Baker McKenzie, etc.

This charter was drawn up from the conclusions of the White Book presented on October 19 in the presence of the Minister responsible for Equality between Women and Men, Diversity and Equal Opportunities, Elisabeth Moreno, and 200 decision-makers from the real estate sector.

The Charter and the White Paper are the culmination of many months of research and reflection, enriched by the consultation of business leaders and managers of the real estate sector, in order to analyze the state of progress of the parity in the sector, to identify the existing obstacles and to identify the possible levers to improve the situation.

The ambitious and precise commitments made by the signatories of the Charter should make it possible to correct a finding clearly expressed in the White Paper: the number of mixed teams, in particular in strategic positions, is still far too limited in real estate.

The Charter will therefore support the transformation of the sector by encouraging its signatories to go beyond legal obligations (Copé-Zimmerman law in particular, and Pénicaud index); le Libre Blanc having also revealed the maturity of the sector and a real desire of real estate managers to take charge of parity issues and bring change within their companies.

Among the challenges identified: attracting and supporting young women in higher education, particularly in science, recruiting and retaining female and male talents, training and supporting them throughout their careers.

For Le Cercle des Femmes de l'Immobilier, the sector has everything to become one of the leading industries in terms of gender parity and equality.

Finally, we want to tell women that real estate is a sector in which they have more than ever a place and that they are expected, including at the highest levels of the hierarchy. "

During the presentation of the White Paper in October 2021, Elisabeth Moreno declared: "The issue of parity is an issue of social justice and equality, but also of competitiveness and attractiveness".
