Polieco's KIO buffer meets the needs of SIEVA's drinking water meter remote reading

As part of this project, POLIECO France, a specialist in the industrial production of innovative closing and crowning devices in composite material, offered its cover: the articulated KIO 800 D400. These are four KIO pads that have been successfully installed and now allow remote meter reading, without opening the device, thanks to their permeability to waves.

These meters are equipped with antennas which transmit the indexes and consumption by wave every six hours.

Polieco's KIO buffer was able to meet the needs of SIEVA. Indeed, unlike pads made of traditional materials, the 100% composite material of the KIO cover allows the transmission of waves, thus avoiding the offset of the antennas of the meters outside the manhole.

It turned out to be a practical solution, because it is not necessary to lift it to read the meter with the device that allows to follow the water consumption. Closing device made of class D400 composite material, the articulated KIO 840 complies with standard EN 124-5. It consists of a composite material frame provided with an optimal anchoring system guaranteeing durability and resistance of the seal, and a composite material cover.
