Today, new homes must meet high standards with the construction of walls, windows and doors that are virtually watertight, without gaps. Even if these standards guarantee increased energy efficiency and prevent drafts or uncontrolled ventilation, it is essential at the same time to improve the quality of indoor air. An efficient ventilation system, such as the new PAW-A2W-VENTA, is ideal for this.
Panasonic is constantly developing systems capable of guaranteeing increased energy efficiency in order to meet the demand for buildings with almost zero energy consumption (“Nearly Zero-Energy Buildings” or NZEB). This new ventilation unit with heat recovery is therefore the ideal solution, especially for low-consumption homes. It ensures the quality of the indoor air, but also to recover the heat which, with simple ventilation, would have been lost. In accordance with the European directive on the energy performance of buildings (EPBD), the objective here is to reduce heating needs.
Compact solutions
Designed for areas up to 140 m², the new compact unit from Panasonic can be combined with air-to-water heat pumps from the Aquarea range for heating, air conditioning, ventilation and domestic hot water production. Ideal for tight spaces, the combination of the two systems represents a real space saving in terms of installation. To suit all needs, the unit is available in two models: one with an air outlet on the left, the other with an air outlet on the right. The unit also has an energy efficient rotary heat exchanger, which itself has EC fans and a humidity transfer function to prevent condensation in the air in winter.
It is possible to combine this ventilation unit with other solutions from Panasonic, such as the compact Aquarea heat pump with integrated DHW. It can also be installed above the DHW tank of an Aquarea monobloc or bi-block system, or on a wall using the wall brackets supplied by Panasonic.
An intuitive and user-friendly interface
In an increasingly digital world, Panasonic responds to the needs of its customers by offering an interface that is both intuitive and user-friendly. All the parameters and functions of the PAW-A2W-VENTA unit can be accessed through an easy-to-use control panel integrated into the front. It is also possible to connect up to 10 external control panels via a single system. Other advantages: weekly programming of fan set points and temperature, or even the menu displaying the remaining filtering time (particularly practical for filter maintenance).
By combining the ventilation unit with the Aquarea heat pump, it is possible to manage both solutions with a single control. Equipped with numerous functions, the system has, among other things, a manual mode and an automatic mode, and offers the possibility of selecting his favorite parameters among the preconfigured user modes.
Functioning
Particularly efficient, the ventilation unit filters and supplies fresh air to guarantee a healthy environment and optimal comfort. To do this, the unit:
- extracts air from humid rooms such as the kitchen or bathroom;
- sucks in fresh outside air through a piping system and, using the heat exchanger, recovers 84% of the heat from the exhaust air before transferring it to the supply air;
- diffuses fresh air in dry rooms such as the living room or bedrooms.
