New PU REACH regulation – Griffon supports professionals for efficient and safe work

From August 24, 2023 a training obligation is required for the handling of PU products.

Improper handling of foams, glues or sealants based on PU (Polyurethane) can have consequences on the health of the user, particularly at the level of the epidermis and the respiratory tract.

Faced with these risks, the European authorities within the framework of the REACH regulations* decided to make mandatory, from August 24, 2023, training and certification on the handling of PU products containing more than 0,1% diisocyanate monomers before use.

Announced since February 24, 2022 on all labels of PU-based products, this mandatory training will allow professionals to benefit from good conditions of use.

Always ahead of regulations and attentive to the well-being of its customers, Griffon has been able to adapt by supporting and training them for the safe installation of products and without risk for the user.
