A flagship project of Greater Paris and a strategic location for the 2024 Olympics
The Paris Pleyel urban project is one of the emblematic projects of Greater Paris. Ideally located between the Olympic village and the Stade de France, this new establishment offers one of the most beautiful views of Paris and the Ile-de-France plain. The H4 Hotel Wyndham Paris Pleyel will offer 697 rooms, a 4 m500 convention center, restaurants, bars, an executive lounge, a fitness center and to top it off, a swimming pool perched 2 meters high .
The establishment offers five types of rooms, ranging from “Comfort” to “Suite”, including “Superior” and “Deluxe” categories. In total, it has 697 rooms and suites, each with its distinct characteristics. Room sizes vary from 21 m² to 38 m², with an exceptional Presidential Suite of 129 m² located on the 37th floor.
The project, supported by Pleyel Investissement, was managed by Financière des Quatre Rives (FQR). A symbol of the neighborhood's metamorphosis, the hotel will remain the property of Pleyel Investissement and will be operated by H-Hotels, one of the largest hotel groups in Germany.
With the opening of the H4 Hotel Wyndham Paris Pleyel, the family hotel group continues its strategic expansion in Europe.
For Thomas Haas, CEO of H-Hotels: “The opening of the H4 Hotel Wyndham Paris Pleyel establishment represents the first major achievement of the H-Hotels group in France. This major project, in the heart of Greater Paris, is intended to transform the Pleyel district into a strategic and ideal destination for visitors to the capital. Our ambition is to provide a high-end establishment for business travelers, leisure-seeking globetrotters, as well as the city's residents and businesses. With its panoramic bar, its restaurants and its convention center, our hotel aims to attract a very diverse audience. »
The city of Saint-Denis placed at the heart of the hotel project
A truly changing territory, Seine-Saint-Denis has become the playground of architects. The Pleyel district in Saint-Denis once had numerous factories such as the Legras glass factory, the Combes tannery and dyeing factory or factories linked to artistic creation, like the Pleyel piano factory, which gave its name to the tower. Following the decline of industrial activity and the deindustrialization process at the end of the 1960s, these factories were transformed and adapted to new uses (cinema studios, cultural spaces, etc.). Today, this district reflects an image linked to contemporary urban cultures such as Street Art and hip-hop and has seen the emergence of a collective of street artists, a theater and dance house or the Cité du cinéma. The Saint-Denis Festival, an unmissable event for classical music, welcomes each year the greatest international conductors and orchestras.
The new H4 Hotel Wyndham Paris Pleyel embodies this fusion of varied identities, among which stands out the subtle blend between the very essence of the tower and its neighborhood, the dynamic growth of a center of activity, as well as a profound artistic influence. Thanks to the materials chosen and the interior design of the establishment, this notion takes on its full meaning. Guests will be able to feel an evocation of the industrial past, a harmony between contrasting influences where art and culture intertwine, and finally admire a careful integration of memory, texture and the characteristic atmosphere of the tower.
With the 2024 Olympic Games and the development of Greater Paris, the location is very strategic. The future Saint-Denis Pleyel metro station will be comparable in size to the Châtelet-les-Halles or Saint-Lazare stations today. Currently served by metro line 13, the H4 Hotel Wyndham Paris Pleyel will soon be located just a three-minute walk from the future largest Grand Paris Express station, Saint-Denis Pleyel station, scheduled to open in June 2014. This station will be connected by the extension of line 14, thus providing a connection to the center of Paris in less than 15 minutes. From this metro station, the Champs-Élysées will be accessible in 17 minutes, Châtelet-Les Halles in 14 minutes and the Eiffel Tower in 27 minutes. In the longer term, travelers will be able to reach Paris-CDG airport in 20 minutes and La Défense in 12 minutes.
A design combining the past and future of the neighborhood
The design and interior architecture were entrusted to the Axel Schoenert agency (ASA). The architect wanted to highlight elements of the original tower through contemporary spaces with shapes and materials inspired by industry. The conceptual design is based on the three axes of reflection and inspiration - industrial, classic and urban - with the common thread being an alliance between the past and the future. The raw walls, the play of dark and light contrasts, as well as the choice of materials reflect the industrial past. The architect wanted to integrate the contrasting local artistic and cultural influences, without forgetting the architecture of the tower from the 70s. The new H4 Hotel Wyndham Paris Pleyel is a multi-faceted creative cluster, a real “Melting pot” of all the identities that have shaped and marked the Pleyel district.
The architect stages the Arts in space with shapes and materials inspired by factories such as metal, steel, glass and leather. In order to connect past and future, the architect combined raw and industrial materials with more noble materials: Metal and steel thus coexist with wood and glass. The key word was to give character to the spaces, by evoking shapes and materials inspired by the industrial sector.
The rooms combine industrial, classic and urban style
Like the common areas, the rooms combine industrial, classic and urban aesthetics in harmony, blending raw industrial design elements, timeless classic touches and a dynamic urban ambiance. The industrial style is characterized by black metal finishes and textured walls in gray tones. The classic style reveals elegant wooden finishes with Hungarian Point parquet flooring, a monochrome bed and a niche headboard. As for the urban style, it echoes the city of Saint-Denis and urban cultures with a mirror in a nod to artists' dressing rooms and Street Art furniture.
The Restoration
The culinary manifesto expresses a passionate dedication to local, seasonal and environmentally friendly cuisine, designed to appeal to French guests and international diners alike. This philosophy is based on confidence in the strength of authenticity and simplicity. The constant search for quality, diversity and sustainability is a priority. The use of local products, the promotion of short circuits and the reduction of the carbon footprint are strongly favored in this approach.

The total capacity of the convention center is 2.667 people. The plenary, the largest room in the convention center, covers 1.175m2 and benefits from a ceiling height of eight meters.
