This renewal of partnership was signed by Jean-Christophe REPON, President of CAPEB, via its subsidiary Béranger Développement, Christine MUSCAT, Managing Director of KNAUF and David MORALES, Treasurer of IRIS ST. It aims to continue to offer building tradesmen comprehensive renovation product, system and service solutions in KNAUF's areas of expertise: interior fittings and thermal insulation of building envelopes. The proposal aims to support market developments, in particular by responding to expectations for comfort in the home, the management of site waste, the improvement of working conditions on site and training. This partnership will also help to improve the performance of craftsmen by raising their awareness of the risks on construction sites.
As part of this agreement, CAPEB undertakes to inform craft building companies of KNAUF's offer, specially adapted to quality energy renovations, to contribute to the content of KNAUF's technical solution sheets as well as to the promotion of these to craft building companies. CAPEB will also participate in the design of training content produced by KNAUF and will promote it to member companies. These training courses, provided in the regions, will be offered to craft building companies who will be able to benefit from a specific rate.
KNAUF undertakes, for its part, to develop and communicate on online tools and services to support the choice and implementation of its solutions. KNAUF will develop, in collaboration with CAPEB, sheets on the technical solutions and services offered and will provide specific technical assistance accessible to member companies.
Finally, KNAUF will implement actions in favor of the prevention of occupational risks with the Institute for Research and Innovation on Occupational Health and Safety (IRIS-ST). These actions may, for example:
- consist in disseminating to customers the “Health and safety memos” produced by the Institute for the different families of trades in the building trades (dissemination at training centers and on the KNAUF website);
- associate CAPEB and IRIS-ST to develop KNAUF products, in particular through tests carried out by craft building companies;
- ·study the possibility of integrating a “prevention” component into KNAUF technical training, based on elements provided by IRIS-ST.
For its part, IRIS-ST undertakes to:
- raise awareness among craft building companies, KNAUF customers, of occupational risk prevention, by making available the content of health/safety memos produced by IRIS-ST (paper, digital format);
- set up and lead testing procedures for equipment and/or materials (drafting specifications, setting up a group of volunteer craftsmen, writing questionnaires, leading discussion meetings, test reports, etc.) ;
- raise awareness and promote KNAUF innovations among craft businesses.
Jean-Christophe REPON, President of CAPEB, declares:“Happy to be able to sign the renewal of this partnership with KNAUF and IRIS-ST. It is indeed essential to be able to offer the companies that we represent the best solutions in terms of innovation and security. The promotion of the energy performance of buildings will not be possible without the craft business that I represent. It is our business. This is our mission. »
Christine Muscat, Managing Director of KNAUF adds:“KNAUF is delighted to contribute to meeting the challenges of global renovation, alongside the craft building companies, both in terms of energy sobriety and comfort in the home. Together with CAPEB, we will continue to develop the most appropriate actions to give artisans the means to meet these challenges. »
David MORALES, Treasurer of IRIS ST, explains: “Health and safety at work are essential issues in the daily work of the construction trades. As a reference organization on these subjects with craftsmen, IRIS-ST is very happy to establish this partnership and to be able to put forward innovative solutions, adapted to the needs of small businesses and meeting the requirements of occupational risk prevention. . »
