AGC Glass Europe presents Mirox 4Green+, a high-end mirror with a water-based lacquer

Better well-being in living spaces

AGC's range of ecological mirrors preserves indoor air quality, in particular by the absence of a large number of toxic products, including copper, ammonia and lead.

Featuring a protective layer of water-based paint, Mirox 4Green+ uses 20% less lacquer than a regular mirror. In addition, the paint contains less than 10% organic solvents and it reduces VOC emissions by more than 80% compared to a standard mirror. These are all characteristics that make Mirox 4Green+ a truly sustainable product, with emissions of volatile organic compounds* close to zero, thus contributing to excellent indoor air quality.

In addition to increased well-being in living spaces, Mirox 4Green+ also contributes to improving working conditions in production: its water-based paint considerably reduces CO2 emissions during manufacturing (reduction of approximately 150 g of CO2/m2), which contributes to safeguarding the health of our production staff.

Mirox 4Green+ is a fully recyclable product. With an even lower environmental impact than the Mirox MNGE – certified Cradle to Cradle® in the Bronze category – it will be subject to the same certification process as the latter.

Excellent opacity for backlit applications

The perfectly opaque lacquer of Mirox 4Green+ confines the diffused light to the sandblasted part of the glass. It ensures a flawless finish and makes this mirror ideal for backlit applications.

Mirox 4Green+ and Mirox MNGE mirrors are available in four colours: Clear (on standard float glass), Clearvision (on highly transparent and neutral float glass), Bronze and Gray (grey). They can also be fitted with a SAFE+ anti-splinter film to comply with safety standard EN 12600, class 2B2.
