37% of French people plan to equip their homes with renewable energies, an increase of nearly 50% since 2019

In this period of energy crisis and uncertainty about supplies, the barometer shows that more than one in three French people plan to equip their home with renewable energy (37%). A figure up by almost 50% compared to 2019 (since 25% envisaged it 3 years ago) and which echoes the 90% of French people who have noticed an increase in their energy bill for 12 months and the 77 % who consider that renewable energy equipment for heating, electricity and hot water can have a positive impact on their purchasing power.

Faced with the crisis, more than 1 in 3 French people plan to equip themselves with renewable energies for heating, hot water and electricity in their homes

44% of French people are equipped with at least one renewable energy solution in their home (= 2021)

The most installed renewable energy solutions:

1. Wood solutions: insert (16%), stove (15%)
2. Thermodynamic water heater (13%)
3. Heat pumps (11%)

77% believe that renewable energy equipment can have a positive impact on their purchasing power in use.

87% however, believe that renewable energies are expensive to buy. It is an investment.

4 out of 5 French people believe that the country's energy transition requires an energy mix combining renewable energy and conventional energies (nuclear, gas, etc.)

95% trust at least one of the renewable energy equipment for the production of their heating, hot water and electricity

The French consider that renewable energies can ensure the energy transition of their homes

4 out of 5 French people:

• Make you feel good at home (82%)
• Are environmentally friendly (79%)

3 out of 4 French people believe that renewables:

• Are essential for improving the energy performance of the home (75%)
• 60% nevertheless believe that renewable energies do not work all year round

The ecosystem of energy renovation inspires more and more confidence in the French who are calling for a simplification of the devices

79% think that a label or qualification is a mark of trust (+2 points vs. 2021)

76% consider the RGE mention as trustworthy (+1 point v. 2021)

71% trust an installer near them (+1 point vs. 2021)
