What is the impact of the 2nd containment for construction companies? The example of Île-de-France

In the context of the 2nd confinement, the FFB Grand Paris and the FFB Région IDF 78-91-95 carried out, from November 13 to 20, 2020, a survey to better understand the situation at the end of the year.

Impact of re-containment

60% of businesses were disrupted by the reconfinement.

The obstacles encountered are mainly the reluctance of individuals to carry out work at home (38,8%), difficulties in the supply of equipment and materials (18,1%), personnel management problems linked to the case of contamination or cases of contacts (15,8%) or even difficulties in the functioning of administrations for 10,3% of them (instruction for building permits, road authorizations, etc.)
Site stops are much less frequent than during the 1st containment (13,8%)
The difficulties with contractors much less (5,2%)
The unavailability of personal protective equipment (PPE) is no longer an obstacle to business activity.

Analysis of the global impact of the health crisis

Building professionals in Ile-de-France estimate that their turnover will decrease by 15,3% in 2020 compared to 2019.

Only 40% of companies encounter cash flow difficulties
