Mandated by ADEME, SCALIAN, a French company specializing in processing in highly complex environments, produces the Simul'Aides application. Deployed on the government site FAIRE, Simul'Aides allows all individuals to estimate the financial assistance they can benefit from during renovation work. The Ministry of Ecological Transition actively contributes to defining the evolutions of Simul'Aides by using it as one of the main tools in relay of the household support system.
Simul'Aides, the tool for estimating aid during renovation work
In 2015, ADEME (the Ecological Transition Agency) launched a call for tenders for the creation of an application to estimate the aid to which individuals can claim during renovation work. ADEME wishes to be able to have an easily configurable and scalable tool that allows current and future legislation to be taken into account, in particular the rules of eligibility and accumulation of aid.
“Simul'Aides is a complex project: the application must take many parameters into account, ensuring both maintenance and very regular updates. Indeed, aid estimates for rights holders change very quickly. The engine that we designed had to respond to this need for permanent development but also to the multiplicity of aid: categories of work and origins of aid (national, regional, departmental, etc.). ", says Gatien Mellion, project manager at SCALIAN.
Specializing in large-scale digital projects, SCALIAN won the call for tenders and then began working on the project, called Simul'Aides.
A regional project deployed at the national level
Initially created for the Haute-Normandie region alone, Simul'Aides was so convinced that it was subsequently deployed in other regions to cover the entire territory, including Overseas.
It was in 2020, under the leadership of Emmanuelle Wargon, Minister Delegate to the Minister of Ecological Transition, in charge of Housing, that it was decided to deploy Simul'Aides on the government site Faire.fr in order to allow all citizens to know the aid to which they are entitled in the event of renovation work.
“The entire site redesign and ergonomics work was carried out in the fall by the SCALIAN teams. Created in 2015 to be used at a regional level, the application must now support an influx of connections 20 times greater this year and meet expectations of more modern design. This project therefore presented us with a real technical challenge, with a very tight schedule! A real challenge won thanks to the organization of the SCALIAN teams in collaboration with those of ADEME and their strong investment in this application, the visibility of which has been increased. ", completes Eric Foquet, Project Director at SCALIAN.
Since the start of 2020, 1 million simulations have been performed on the application. More than half of them were carried out from October 2020, with the implementation of the new MaPrimeRénov aid, which led to a very high number of visitors to the site.
