RE2020: for builders of single-family homes, the government is treading on its head!

This RE2020, as presented, will generate a significant increase in costs of the order of + 10% to + 15%. And it is quite misunderstanding the subject to say that the increase in the RT2012 price was quickly absorbed by learning effects! The government pretends to ignore that the rise in construction costs has been partly offset by a drop in services sold to households. These room for maneuver no longer exist!

In a context where the country's economy has never had such a need for employment support, asking a sector representing nearly 45% of new construction to radically change its operating point in 3 months is quite simply irresponsible. . Have our leaders forgotten that the implementation of RT2012 resulted 2 years later in reaching low points of housing production?

The year 2020 has highlighted the limits of densification and the need for space for our fellow citizens. The public authorities are responding by the total absence of stimulus measures for new housing and an increase in the constraints of building single-family homes. Would the government seek to make a product accessible into a luxury product that only our wealthiest citizens will be able to acquire?

Faced with such an observation, the FFC asks:

• the implementation of deferred application of the planned measures, no earlier than the year 2022
• the introduction of progressivity on the desired performances in terms of Bbio, in order to allow the sector to organize itself and find economical solutions
• the establishment of a real plan to support and revive a sector considered until recently as essential to the activity of the Nation
