A lifetime of commitment
Chairman and CEO of Optimum SAS since 2006, a leading French company in dressing rooms, cupboards and storage solutions based in Agen, Jean-Luc Guéry has been Chairman of INOHA since 2020. Coming from a family of farmers in the North of France, this Centralian is a man fundamentally attached to human and societal values, which led him to get involved very early in the local and national economic fabric. President of the Medef of Lot-et-Garonne, he is also Treasurer of the CCI of the department, but also Administrator of the Syndicat Français de l'Ameublement.
DATA and CSR: second term priorities
During his second term, Jean-Luc Guéry intends to continue implementing the action plan "Inoha 2025: Together, let's cross a course!" adopted in 2021.
As a reminder, this strategy is based on 4 axes:
- Consolidate data collection and knowledge sharing,
- Strengthen the performance of members through shared solutions,
- Support the entire sector on environmental and social issues,
- Consolidate its role as a key player with distributors and public authorities.
Two priorities will mobilize Jean-Luc Guéry and the members of the Board of Directors during this second term:
Supporting companies in their environmental transition
Since 2022, Inoha has been committed to supporting the sector in the CSR approach to help its members develop sustainable offers and thus build a responsible and committed industry.
This resulted in a certain number of actions: launch of a decarbonization support program for members, provision of a CSR regulatory kit as well as numerous webinars to shed light on the regulations and a monthly CSR newsletter.
CSR support will be strengthened with the adoption at the April 19 Board meeting of a program on the reduction and eco-design of packaging. Eco-design is also an essential theme on which Inoha will raise industrial awareness via new meetings.
Also note the launch of a CSR Club which will meet 3 times a year and a new offer of short and pragmatic “Skills Capsules” mini training courses on CSR. Finally, Inoha has started working with the distributors' CSR managers.
Continue the deployment of INODATA, the new Business Intelligence platform
Inoha launched its Business Intelligence platform for its members earlier this year. Indispensable to the proper management of companies, this platform is a real observatory of the economy and New Housing trends which brings together, in a single place, very comprehensive data on market and trend consumer studies, essential for decision-making.
It includes monthly data by department on the GSB (with FMB), Négoce (with Xerfi), GSA (with GFK) and Jardinerie-Lisa (with GFK) markets.
In addition to this offer, there are exclusive consumer services and studies in the fields of general economics (with 37 macroeconomic indicators):
- on the markets, based on quarterly surveys on purchasing behavior and purchasing channels by brand (with GFK)
- on trends, with the analysis of consumer searches on the Internet, by department and retailer (with the start-up Trajaan)
- as well as surveys on past and future consumer projects and changes in their purchasing behavior (with GFK)
Inoha will continue to deploy its platform to allow its members to have an accurate view of the markets and one step ahead of trends.
« A big thank you to the directors for renewing their confidence and for their commitment by my side since they have also been re-elected for the next three years. Together, we will continue the work undertaken since 2020 to enlighten our members, build the future together and influence our ecosystem. And above all, continue the work of the sector with the distributors to create value and allow each French person to improve their habitat. » said Jean-Luc Guéry.
