Fraud in energy renovation: the FFB makes 10 proposals

This is why, in order to clean up the market for the benefit of consumers and virtuous companies, the FFB makes ten proposals:

• impose a quality sign on all companies contracting with an individual with a view to carrying out energy renovation work eligible for financial aid;
• harmonize the eligibility criteria for the MaPrimeRénov' and CEE schemes;
• harmonize the control systems for the RGE, the CEEs and MaPrimeRénov';
• deploy a genuine anti-fraud unit;
• limit the rank of subcontracting for work in private homes;
• ensure that the company carrying out the work is indeed RGE and fight against hidden subcontracting;
• strengthen the resources of the DGCCRF;
• have a usable database of sites financed by MaPrimeRénov' and by the CEEs, accessible to qualification bodies;
• better regulate the rules for becoming a MaPrimeRénov' financial agent;
• carry out an early RGE check for qualified first-timers.

For Olivier Salleron, president of the FFB: "At a time when activity in the sector is becoming more tense and following the recommendations of the High Council for the Climate to increase the supply of building renovation in order to reduce CO2 emissions from construction, it is important that measures are taken quickly to restore confidence and support households in their energy renovation work. »
