By the end of 2022, the HVAC division plans to combine the production capacities of the Dutch Vasco site in Tubbergen in its highly automated factories in Plattling (Germany) and Legnica (Poland) in order to sustainably strengthen its competitive position through the concentration of skills and volumes.
The planned relocation of production and the resulting closure of the plant could lead to the loss of around 2022 jobs at the Tubbergen site (the Netherlands) by the end of XNUMX. This planned measure has been submitted to the consultation of the works council and, at the same time, discussions will be initiated with the representatives of the workers concerned, in particular for the development of a social plan and the definition of effective support possibilities for the employees concerned.
The development of the HVAC division market will not be affected. Customers will continue to benefit from an attractive product portfolio, superior quality and the best logistics services. As before, our Dutch customers will be supported by the sales organization based in Amsterdam (The Netherlands).
The production of panel radiators for the European market will in future be concentrated in the competence center in Germany.
Arbonia expects one-off costs due to the closure of less than 10 million Swiss francs, which will be charged to the 2021 annual result.
