To help professionals (project managers, property surveyors, thermal design offices, heating engineers, etc.) to check the good insulation of the home, the sizing of a heating system, etc. using a camera thermal, TESTO offers them training on infrared thermography applied to this sector. Enough to have all the keys to facilitate the analysis of the energy performance of a building and contribute to establishing a precise diagnosis.
The use of an infrared thermographic camera facilitates the analysis of the energy performance of a building and contributes to establishing a mandatory diagnosis (DPE), particularly in the case of a sale or rental of real estate. It also makes it possible to target leaks, ensure the proper functioning of radiators (detection of sludge or presence of air in the circuit) and other lacks of insulation in a building in order to remedy them.
A working tool for many building professionals, the thermal camera requires controlled handling. This is why Testo, a manufacturer of measuring devices, provides training in “Infrared thermography applied to buildings”. The objective: to help participants acquire the basics of electromagnetic radiation as well as the knowledge for a relevant interpretation of thermograms.
Organized at its clients' premises or at the Testo Academy in Forbach, the training, alternating theory and practice, covers, in one or two days:
- the principle of electromagnetic radiation in an application based on numerous illustrations commented by the trainer,
- mastery of measurement techniques using practical cases: taking photos and measurements, adjustments, framing to understand how to have good viewing angles with the thermal camera.
- the different types of thermal cameras (type of sensor, etc.) and the conditions for implementing thermography,
- reading and analyzing thermograms as well as the pitfalls to avoid in their interpretation,
- getting started with the free testo IRSoft software, available on the Testo website. Running under Windows, it allows you to download the thermal images recorded in the camera to analyze them and document them in detail in a report,
- the interpretation of thermal bridges,
- parasitic air inlets,
- humidity problems in buildings and visible using a camera.
At the end of the training, the trainees are evaluated by producing an analysis report to validate their knowledge. To obtain official and independent certification by TÜV RHEINLAND, they can also take an exam in the form of multiple choice questions, a Testo exclusive.
