This first fundraiser carried out with the support of BPI France, will allow Travauxlib to double its workforce in 2017. The start-up thus plans to accelerate its commercial development in France and create new services to reinvent the wholesale market renovations.
Travauxlib, the trusted third party for renovation works
Created in 2015, Travauxlib is the only Marketplace positioned on the market for major renovation works (works from 3 to 300 K €). The start-up connects qualified individuals and professionals through a model that goes far beyond simple intermediation, a model that breaks with those of the sector.
Unlike online quote sites that flood professionals with unverified requests and individuals with quotes from non-certified companies, Travauxlib supports professionals and individuals at every stage of renovation projects.
Free for individuals, Travauxlib allows access to labeled professionals and to obtain contractual guarantees that they would never have obtained on their own: Prices at market price, respect of deadlines with late penalties, secure payment and commitments, quality, compliance. For professionals, Travauxlib has developed new services to save them time and customers while cutting their overhead costs by three!
“Digital has revolutionized many traditional business sectors serving consumers. However, there is still one that has not changed for decades: construction and in particular renovation. Many players are trying it, but none has yet managed to really digitize the renovation segment for individuals. The need is however immense and we believe that TravauxLib has the potential, the audacity and the assets to achieve it! " says Thomas Le Diouron of Impulse Partner, the construction accelerator that accompanies Travauxlib.
To establish itself in the major cities of France in 2017
Thanks to this first fundraising, Travauxlib will be able to accelerate its development and its national network. The platform, which has been used successfully for a year and a half in Ile-de-France, will therefore be available very soon throughout France, and will integrate an even wider range of services with high added value. To support this deployment, the start-up intends to strengthen its teams, which will increase from 11 to 20 people.
"I found in Travauxlib the combination of everything I am looking for as a VC. A very structured, complementary team entirely dedicated to his project. Yes, Arnaud [Kleinpeter] and Matthieu [Burin] want to finish with idea, as unbearable as it is widespread, that carrying out large-scale works always ends up turning into a nightmare! Besides the strength of the value proposition and the time to market which seem obvious to me, I like this concept of marketplace: both a tool that revolutionizes the daily lives of artisans and a solution that allows individuals to do away with the problem of trust and transparency when they start work! ", adds Maximilien Bacot, managing partner at Breega Capital.
Matthieu Burin, co-founder of Travauxlib concludes: “This fundraising is an important step for Travauxlib, which will benefit from the experience and support of recognized investors to enter a new phase of development and establish itself in the renovation landscape on a sustainable basis. We are more enthusiastic and motivated than ever with the firm intention of reconciling individuals with their work by offering them an experience that is finally totally delightful! "
