CSR committed label
A concrete way to measure the maturity of the CSR approach to continue to improve
Choosing to be labeled Engaged CSR sends a strong message: that of a company that requests a third-party evaluation to judge its actions and commitments.
Issued by AFNOR Certification, this label is based on an in-depth and methodical rating of the actions implemented by Wavin France as part of its CSR approach.
More than 50 criteria are examined under the ISO 26000 standard, such as governance, human rights, working relations and conditions, environment, fair practices, consumer issues, communities and local development.
During a one-week audit on the Wavin site in Varennes-sur-Allier, stakeholders internal and external to the organization (customers, suppliers, employees, local partners, etc.) were met and interviewed. This audit made it possible to note, for each theme, a level of maturity in a logic of continuous improvement.
From the first year, Wavin France obtains the confirmed level of the Engagé RSE label. This rating underlines the completeness and consistency of Wavin France's continuous improvement approach. It also attests to its ability to identify stakeholders and establish a dialogue with them in order to initiate dynamic and collective action.
For Luc MANRY, Wavin France CSR Manager: “We want to go even further and involve all our partners in this approach to engage, unite and mobilize all the forces. Everyone must contribute to a more sustainable life and it is essential to commit to this path. »
The local program Ech'o Wavin France
Local actions to respond to a global challenge
In order to accelerate its transition, Wavin France has integrated CSR into its corporate governance. This has notably resulted in the establishment of the ECH'O program which brings together all local actions in favor of the environment and a responsible societal policy, proudly initiated by the company's employees and involving them. collectively.
Every day, everyone's actions are designed to be respectful of resources, favorable to the flourishing of fauna and flora and to living better together. The result of Wavin France's efforts and commitments, the ECH'O Wavin France program for a more sustainable life actively involves all people who, directly or indirectly, are affected by the company's activities (customers, partners, employees). , suppliers, etc.).
Act together and now!
A strong driver and contributor, Wavin France integrates collective and adapted initiatives through ECH'O to improve the living environment and a sustainable environment.
Wavin France acts in favor of biodiversity by protecting, restoring and enhancing living things. For example, a new honey meadow was created in spring 2022 to accommodate biodiversity around the head office, which already has more than 72.000 m2 of green spaces. In 2023, Wavin France has also proudly joined forces with the League for the Protection of Birds (LPO) to measure the benefits of meadows on biodiversity and develop new actions favorable to the ecosystem.
Wavin France optimizes the use of natural resources (energy, water, raw materials, etc.) and is very attentive to its production of greenhouse gases. Since the 1990s, this has been reduced by more than 40% (or twice as much as the French average). And, since the summer of 2021, all of the electricity purchased by Wavin France has come from renewable energies and has no carbon emissions. In 2023, 9.000 m² of photovoltaic panels were installed on the production site to produce its own electricity. Eco-design, low-nuisance construction sites, waste management... Wavin France continues to question itself to limit its environmental impact.
And because everyone's commitment is ECH'O's strength, Wavin France also carries out awareness-raising activities with all stakeholders. For example, the company works in colleges to inform younger generations of the importance of each gesture for the planet because it is essential to act together!
Wavin France values people and encourages diversity, inclusion, equity and the well-being of its communities.
