The location of the land on a slope, its small size and the direct communication with the previous building constituted a particular challenge. Based on the ingenuity of the architectural firm JAKOB architekt beratender ingenieur PartGmbB, a three-storey structure was designed. The staggered layout of the floors has resulted in spacious roof terraces on the first and second floors which are used as play areas for children.
The attractively designed facade fits perfectly into the rural ambience. The overall concept convinces with its clean architectural lines as well as its refined material, space and color concept. The new construction of the building impresses above all with its light-flooded rooms and its colored sun protection, which offers an exclusive advantage in terms of living comfort for the little residents of the premises.
Sliding fabric shutters combine visual and thermal comfort
The solar protection systems were designed to measure, in line with the architectural firm's specifications, and harmonized with the specific concept of the building in terms of materials and use. Textile panels were thus favored, to give the solar protection system an impression of lightness and a friendly and cheerful climate.
In total, 41 leaves of EHRET sliding shutters, of the CADROTEX model, were installed with a subtle mix of extruded aluminum frames (SN75) and exclusive solar fabrics. EHRET, which belongs to the Schenker Stores Group, has been able to make optimal use of internal synergies with the purchase of fabric products that Schenker Stores has been using since 1988 in its own factory in Thanvillé in France.
The high quality Soltis Perform 92* fabric acts as a real heat shield with UV protection, and blocks up to 97% of radiant heat. Functionality of sun protection according to EHRET
The thermal and visual performance of this solar protection installation has been completed with technical particularities such as the motorized drive and the telescopic system for synchronized opening and closing of the sliding shutters. Wind and sun sensors as well as a clock ensure complete automation of sun protection.
These are the sensors that manage all the scenarios depending on the weather. This automation of openings and closings increases the efficiency of the management of external light inputs.
Disabled access has been implemented by installing a PMR threshold. To do this, EHRET fixed the lower guides on steel brackets, supplied by the customer, using a gutter with grating. The upper guide rails were fixed to the wooden structure, supplied by the customer, with aluminum adapter plates pre-assembled at the factory.
Thanks to the sun protection solutions from EHRET, the concept of materials, spaces and colors could be brilliantly implemented in a creative and functional form.
