Located in the heart of the commune of Plateau d'Hauteville (Ain), one hour from Lyon, this new clinic was born from the merger of the Modern clinic and the Clair Soleil clinic, in a single site of 5.200 m² combining performance, comfort and well-being. It has 85 full hospital beds and a day hospital. “The Le Pontet clinic is helping to make Korian a major player in SRH specializing in diseases of the respiratory system. The Group thus has six clinics dedicated to this type of pathology1. Three other departments specializing in pulmonary SRH will also open by 20222 ”puts Nicolas Mérigot, CEO of Korian France, into perspective.
“I am very proud of this magnificent clinic, which is a benchmark respiratory rehabilitation center. Our therapeutic approach is global and transverse. It consists of putting patients back in motion, to gain autonomy and improve their quality of life ” underlines Brigitte Emin, director of the Souffle Le Pontet clinic.
Recognized know-how in respiratory rehabilitation
The Souffle Le Pontet clinic will take care of people with chronic respiratory diseases and sleep breathing disorders, but also patients on respiratory assistance, as well as pre and post thoracic surgery. The clinic team is made up of 75 people, 45 of whom make up the medical and paramedical team. This multidisciplinary and highly qualified team includes four pulmonologists, nurses and caregivers, physiotherapists, teachers in adapted physical activity (APA), a tobacco specialist, psychologists, a dietitian, and a social worker.
Equipment combining performance, comfort and well-being
The clinic has state-of-the-art equipment for efficient care that combines:
- An innovative and spacious technical platform (gymnasium, balneotherapy, physical exertion re-training room, etc.),
- a functional evaluation laboratory allowing the study of cardio-respiratory functions at rest and during exercise,
- a suitable and pleasant living environment including comfortable rooms, a garden and several terraces and an air-conditioned and bright dining room.
A contemporary and responsible building
The clinic was designed according to the best criteria of environmental performance including energy. Its green roof plays a role in thermal insulation by absorbing solar radiation. The heating of the building uses a district heating network supplied by a collective wood-fired boiler room.
In addition, the installation of solar panels optimizes the consumption of domestic hot water. The design and implementation of the project were carried out by SEMCODA with Bel Air architecture and the ICT design office, in close collaboration with the clinic.
“The historical know-how of the commune and the health station of Plateau d'Hauteville in terms of respiratory care and rehabilitation is reinforced by this formidable project. The opening of the Souffle le Pontet clinic by the Korian group begins a new page in the hospital history of Plateau d'Hauteville, completely turned towards the future, through the high environmental quality of the project, the comfort of its equipment and orientation of care protocols geared towards patient rehabilitation, in particular through physical activity ” indicates Philippe Emin, Mayor of Plateau d'Hauteville.
Korian has six establishments (3 retirement homes and 3 follow-up care and rehabilitation clinics) in Ain (01).
