With a turnover increasing by 8,5% to 20,3 billion euros, the group with 73.500 employees reached a net profit of 896 million euros in 2022.
The infrastructure branch, which represents a third of sales, saw its turnover increase by 6,6% to 7,29 billion euros.
If this "falls slightly" in France, it nevertheless records an increase of 19,6% internationally, in particular "thanks to the rise in power of the HS2 high-speed line in the United Kingdom and the motorway E18 in Norway".
The Energy systems branch, the second largest, experienced a 12% increase in turnover to 5,3 billion, driven by a "dynamic of external growth" via eleven acquisitions.
Less important, the Concessions branch experienced a 10,4% growth in turnover to 3,34 billion euros, thanks to "motorway traffic all increasing" and "now above their 2019 level" , before the Covid pandemic.
Airport traffic, however, remains below 2019 levels (-25,4%) despite a rapid acceleration compared to 2021 (+76,6%), notes Eiffage.
The Construction branch, the third largest, experienced a 6,4% increase in its turnover, to 4,36 billion euros, despite the almost halving of housing reservations, "which s explained by the growing difficulty of obtaining building permits in France and the increase in technical costs".
The group is attacking 2023 with a well-filled order book, at its all-time high with 18,5 billion euros (+14%). This increase, which represents "13,1 months of activity", is "driven in particular by renewable energy and transport infrastructure projects", specifies Eiffage.
Overall for 2023, the group anticipates "a further increase in its activity" in works and concessions, in particular "thanks to the gradual normalization of airport traffic", as well as a further "increase in its current operating profit".
“The group share of net income should also benefit from the equity method of the stake in Getlink, starting in the 2nd quarter,” added Eiffage, which became the largest shareholder in this Channel Tunnel concession company in October. for an investment of 1,2 billion euros".
Eiffage plans to give its shareholders a dividend of 3,60 euros per share, up 0,50 euros. This amount "will be proposed to the general meeting of April 19, 2023", it is specified in the press release.
