Cheminées Poujoulat unveils new chimney caps

With a new shape of “skirt” and the integration of a chimney sweeping hatch, Cheminées Poujoulat intends to make life easier for installers, while guaranteeing the same draft performance.

A key role in the management of the circulation

The chimney cap protects the flue and the chimney stack from rain and strong winds. Without this protection, the rain would infiltrate the chimney flue and the risk of mold could appear, and draft problems could be created. The hat also helps deflect the wind upwards and thus prevents backfire in the room. It protects from possible obstructions (bird nests, piles of leaves, etc.).

A new design to improve performance ...

The CTIV caps that equip all the vertical Terminal roof outlets in stainless steel evolve in their shape. In fact, the “skirt” of the hat increases in height and improves performance in the face of the climatic elements which have changed significantly in recent years, in particular with increasingly intense episodes of rain.

... and a new feature to simplify interventions

A chimney sweep trap has been added to facilitate maintenance of the ducts without removing the cap. Maintenance interventions are simplified for the pipes of pellet stoves.

Its use is simple: the hatch in the upper part can be easily locked and unlocked thanks to the automatic closing and its safety pin. Note that in terms of ventilation, this technical modification has no impact on performance.

Without price change

Tested by the CÉRIC laboratory and patented, this innovation brings a real plus and meets the requirements of Cheminées Poujoulat customers. The price remains unchanged and the addition of this innovation provides installers with an easy and optimized duct maintenance solution.
