Cybèle, the fire-resistant glazed two-way steel door, now available on a motorized floor pivot

Encouraged by the success of the Cybèle door, the EI60 fire-rated or flame-retardant glass two-way door (available in E30, E60 and EI30 versions) launched in 2021, MAF Atlantique is expanding the range with a pivot version of motorized floor, the only offer of its kind in this market segment.

In just two years, the Cybèle door, initially equipped with a pivot at the lintel (25 examples installed to date), has proven its effectiveness and maneuverability.

It is therefore quite natural that MAF Atlantique, a major industrialist specializing in the design and construction of fire-resistant architectural glass, enriches the Cybèle series by arming the door with a floor pivot, the whole being made of fire-resistant steel and flame arrestor.

The ideal solution for establishments open to the public (ERP)

Major innovation, the result of six months of R&D, the Cybèle door with floor pivot meets fire regulations and the needs of establishments faced with a large flow and repeated use of back and forth (hospitals, train stations, shopping centers , parkings, …).

ERPs have until now been deprived of a solution with welded steel profiles whose durability is assured and which combines performance and comfort of use thanks to motorization.

Mechanical principle, assembly, fixing: barrier to flames and hot gases guaranteed

On June 27, after several conclusive tests, the Cybèle door with floor pivot, which remains the largest door with an opening flush with the frame for perfect integration into a glass partition without visible mechanism, obtained the E30 fire safety rating (fire protection). flame) and EI30 (fire-rated) regardless of the direction of fire.

The DAS (Activated Safety Device) tests are planned for the end of 2023, which will allow MAF Atlantique to comply with the NF S61937 standard and obtain the NF marking for
DAS mode 2 doors (self-closing fire doors).

An installation without any particular difficulties

The pivots being factory-mounted, the installation of the Cybèle door on a floor pivot does not differ from that of the “classic” Cybèle door. It therefore does not require specific training. Once the door has been installed, MAF Atlantique can, upon request, take care of connecting the motorized function and commissioning the door.
