As the Government committed to on February 15, the decree relating to the simplification of the MaPrimeRénov' system appeared in the Official Journal this morning. This development will make it possible to support the dynamic of energy renovation of housing thanks to the simplification of access to aid.
In January 2020, the Government launched the MaPrimeRénov' system which acted as a real trigger for many French people who massively took up the system with more than 2 million homes renovated since 2020.
Following discussions with the Confederation of Crafts and Small Building Businesses (CAPEB) and the French Building Federation (FFB), Christophe Béchu, Minister of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, and Guillaume Kasbarian, Minister Delegate for Housing, have decided to reopen access to aid for simple and effective renovation work positions until the end of 2024.
Consequently, the regulatory texts published this morning temporarily provide access to the so-called “by gesture” route of MaPrimeRénov', which finances simple renovations, in particular:
- the extension until December 31, 2024 of the possibility of benefiting from MaPrimeRénov' by gesture, whatever the label of your accommodation,
- the removal of the energy performance diagnosis (DPE) requirement from May 15, 2024 and until December 31, 2024,
- the reopening of the possibility of carrying out an isolation gesture alone from May 15, 2024 and until December 31, 2024,
- the conditioning, consequently, of the ventilation action to insulation work from May 15, 2024 and until December 31, 2024.
Aid request files taking into account these developments can be submitted from May 15 on the France Rénov' portal.
The accompanied route, for overall renovations, retains all its ambition. To date, more than 3.000 Rénov' Supporters spread across 440 approved operators are deployed throughout the country to support large-scale renovations. Nearly 600 structures will be approved in the coming months. The ministers also invited the prefects to speed up the processing of current approval applications.
Finally, the ministers launched the project of simplifications of the “recognized guarantor for the environment” (RGE) label, in order to make the system more attractive for businesses and facilitate household access to qualified businesses.
Households will thus be able to decide more freely and calmly to embark on the renovation course of their choice.
Guillaume Kasbarian, Minister Delegate for Housing, visited an Espace France Rénov' in Yvelines on March 21 to discuss the implementation of these measures with local stakeholders. The opportunity to see the full mobilization of Espace France Rénov' to take up the challenge of energy renovation.
