The week of supported accommodation
From December 7 to 10, Unafo is organizing the week of supported accommodation. After a face-to-face day during which Emmanuelle Wargon, Minister of Housing, was able to recall the government's commitment to develop the roadmap for the production of social residences, digital workshops continue throughout the week.
4 axes, 12 proposals
Last May, the government announced a roadmap to develop the production of social residences, which is slow to be implemented. Unafo wants to go further: this is why it has defined 12 proposals around 4 axes : develop the production of social residences, consolidate the economic model, promote access to housing for all and strengthen social rental management and support.
To develop production, Unafo proposes, in the same way as for family pensions, to set a production target for social residences, estimated at 20 homes for the next 000 years. In addition, the FTM transformation plan must be completed by the end of the next five-year term.
To consolidate the economic model of supported housing, Unafo is proposing the revaluation of state building aid, the revival of the commitment of local authorities, the guarantee of the amount of the fee and the sustainability, beyond the recovery plan, the funding envelope dedicated to adapting the park to ecological challenges.
To promote access to housing for all, Unafo considers it necessary to strengthen the links between supported housing and integrated reception and guidance services (SIAO),
organize general youth housing meetings by bringing together all the players to remove obstacles to production and create the necessary guarantees, including in terms of resources.
Finally, to strengthen social rental management and support, Unafo mainly proposes to transform Social Rental Management Assistance (AGLS) into legal assistance for all social residences and to revalue the dedicated budget envelope of 26 to 35 million euros. We are also proposing to create increased aid of 2 euros per day and per person to make it possible to finance associations which exercise stronger actions aimed at strengthening access to social and health rights.
