Ehret dresses the facades of the new day hospital in Monchy-Saint-Eloi (60) with elegant shutters

The architecture of this building, which is based on the principle inspired by the central patio, is an ode to spatial generosity, natural light, and the connection between spaces. A project that combines the expertise of the Adquatio architectural firm and the Gruet Ingénierie design office to create an environment that is both functional and aesthetic.

The structural choice adopted is based on a combination of wooden elements: solid laminated wood (CLT) for the load-bearing slits, a traditional wooden frame for the facades, as well as solid boxes or CLT for the roof slabs. In terms of solar protection, EHRET aluminum shutters have been custom-designed according to Adquatio guidelines in order to integrate perfectly into the architecture and create a symbiosis between form and function and comfort and efficiency.

Meticulously designed sliding shutters

In total, 19 EHRET sliding panels (PL-LO model) with a width of 1m40 and a height of 2m30 were installed. These panels have been coated with a powder-coated finish in an elegant Copper Brown (RAL 8004), perfectly matching the steel deck roof. For overall harmony, the profile of the upper rail cover is provided with a powder-coated finish in the same shade, as are the upper and lower guide rails in natural anodized aluminum.

What particularly distinguishes these EHRET sliding shutters is the unique design created by Adquatio. The firm designed sliding panels decorated with random round patterns and EHRET designed them. This artistic inspiration was designed to bring subtle animation to the facade of the hospital. These patterns, playing with daylight, immerse the interior rooms in a play of light and shadow when the shutters are delicately slid over the openings. Not only do these EHRET aluminum shutters ensure optimal control of light and ventilation in the establishment, but they also become an essential component of the visual and architectural identity of the day hospital.

By integrating art into functionality, Adquatio and EHRET have created a space where innovation and aesthetics come together to provide a unique experience for patients and medical staff. The visual performance of this solar protection installation was supplemented by motorization (by remote control) allowing synchronized and smooth opening and closing of the sliding shutters.

Excellence is born from collaboration, and it is with this spirit that all of the custom sliding shutters found their place at the heart of the new day hospital thanks to the combined expertise of the company Aluminum Verre Acier, partner of the EHRET company. Two installers from Aluminum Verre Acier were the architects of this installation. They took charge of the implementation of all the sliding shutters, ensuring that each shutter integrated perfectly into the architecture imagined by the architectural firm Adquatio. Furthermore, the EHRET business manager also joined the team, bringing his specific expertise and ensuring the proper implementation of these tailor-made components, thus guaranteeing their optimal functioning.

Thanks to EHRET sun protection solutions, the concept of materials, spaces and colors could be brilliantly implemented in a creative and functional form. It is obvious that sliding shutters play an essential role in the facade concept.
